• From Río Gallegos, the capital city of the Province of Santa Cruz, the journey covers 452 km.
• From Bariloche, via National Route 40, El Chaltén can be reached after traveling 1,392 km (with several weekly services operating from October to April).
• From El Calafate, located 220 km away, there are three daily bus services to El Chaltén.
