It is one of the most important and popular in El Chalten trekking area. During this tour you can see Nothofagus native forest, a chance to see local fauna and the imposing Mount Fitz Roy (with 3405 meters high) right from the base.
This walk takes 4 hours each way, during which you can visit Laguna Capri , first panoramic view of the mount. Continuing along the same path during an hour you’ll reach camp Poincenot. Crossing the river at this point begins the last hour climb to reach “de los Tres” Laguna and Glacier, which is the closest point to observe the Cerro Fitz Roy from the trekking trails, “as close as if we could touch it.” In this beautiful place you ll have a wide variety of unforgettable panoramic views.
